Summary
We provide social services to the residents and whānau of Great Barrier Island. We provide counselling for all and also home help to the elderly or chronically ill. We hold events and programmes such as Over 60s dinners (a monthly subsidised social event for the elderly), an after school programme, and school holiday programmes. We also hold workshops and seminars on various topics. Other services include help with food grants, air fares and support for domestic violence situations, such as a safe house and aid. A referral is required from Aotea Health for Home Help clients.
